I purchased this mug for the express purpose of making tea from time to time. I use an insulated container for my coffee through the day because I brew coffee and take it to work to consume later. Tea however, is a different matter for me. I like my tea to cool more quickly. This mug is perfect for this application. I place the tea bags in the loose tea filter (I use two bags because I like strong tea) and add hot water. This makes it easy to extract the tea bags after steeping while the water is still hot. I add cream to my tea but no sugar. The loose tea filter displaces the perfect amount of room for the cream. Viola, the perfect cup of English breakfast tea for me. I add the cap to keep warm when needed. This is the perfect cup!

It took a while to get here and I had to track from JFK to Newark to Massachusettes, but it finally arrived at my mailbox. I had to then peel through the packaging, and then finally I saw the box itself and short while later, there it was in all its glory. The beautifully and skillfully hand crafted cup. I really enjoy the texture of the cup and the rich colors. The handle is just the right size and it gives me a firm grip. Most of all I like the lid which keeps the coffee warm longer. i have not use the brewing cup yet, but all in due time.

The mug was a satisfying experience to receive and use.
The Material is heavy, has a porous exterior and appears to be of high quality.
The design is up to taste, but i enjoyed it. Especially the fact that it was carved into the material of the mug itself, has a subtle glow to it and is color-wise rounded up by the dark wood at the handle, is satisfying everytime I use the mug.

It's a nice sturdy mug. I use it for coffee and tea daily. I like it because it's unique, heavy, and feels personal. My wife tells me the lid is important for steeping to keep all the goodness in. I will say the strainer in the bottom of the steeping cup is a little small for my style of looseleaf. It just takes a little patience is all. No regerts.

The item is amazing. What was sad is the customer service experience. I understand there are supply chain issues but the item literally made it from Shanghai China to my local area only to sit for a week until I finally contacted customer service who only sent me a link to the tracking …. Improve customer service and repeat business will occur. Additionally, the item was delivered without any label (perfect since it was a Xmas gift), so I’m guessing it lost its original packaging.
